About Us

The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala-Kano was established in 1959 and became a Federal Hospital in 1985. We are Nigeria’s leading center for trauma, orthopaedic, and rehabilitation services. Our mission is to provide excellent, affordable, and accessible musculoskeletal healthcare while training the next generation of specialists.

Here at the NOH, Kano, we have a team approach to patient care. Our patient care team include experienced trauma and orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists and many other clinical support staff who are committed to providing the best patient care possible. The Center of Orthopaedic Excellence in Nigeria

For over 55 years, the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala-Kano has been at the forefront of trauma and orthopaedic care in Nigeria.

Since 1959, we have trained hundreds of surgeons, orthopaedic nurses, plaster technicians, and accident & emergency professionals who now serve across Nigeria and beyond. We remain the heartbeat of trauma and orthopaedic surgery in the region.

At NOH Dala-Kano, patient care is a team effort. Our multidisciplinary team of experienced trauma and orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, and clinical support staff are dedicated to helping you recover and get back to life.

Whether it’s emergency trauma care or specialized orthopaedic treatment, your recovery is in safe hands.The Hospital has also enjoyed expert services of many dedicated men and women in the field of Orthopaedics. This includes;
Dr. A. F. Bryson – who was well known as the “Father of Dala”
 And about 36 Consultant Surgeons and Nursing personnel, who came, served and went.
