ENG. MUDASHIR O. SUNMONU
Head, Engineering Department
Engr. M.O. Sunmonu, 47 years old, a COREN registered Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; post Graduate Diploma in Management and PGD in Technical Education. He is well experienced and versatile in his field of specialization spanning over 20 years as Engineer and 5 years as Engineering Technologist. He worked as lecturer in a polytechnic, and in several industries before joining National Orthopaedic Hospital , Dala as an assistant Chief Engineer in 2006 and rose to the position of Asst. Director of Engineering.
He has special interest and well skilled in Project Planning and Management , Facilities Maintenance Management, Process Engineering and System Control, Industrial and Production Engineering, Plant Maintenance and Local Content Development, Procurement Planning and Management. The experience he has brought onto play supporting the Hospital Management in Transforming the hospital engineering infrastructures and land scape.
He is a corporate member of Nigerian Society of Engineers as well as Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Married with one wife and blessed with 3 children.
Role of Engineering Department in the Hospital Service Delivery:
Engineering Services Department is responsible for maintenance of hospital infrastructures and equipment, power supply and water generation and distribution.
The department is also responsible for planning, designing and supervising of engineering projects in conjunction with relevant Federal Ministries, i.e. Federal Ministry of Land, planning & urban development and advise the management on technical issues.
