Full name: Alh. Danjuma AbdulRahman Haruna
Brief profile: Danjuma A. Haruna, hail from Dekina LGA of Kogi State. He was born into the family of mr. and mrs. Harun Aucha on 2nd September, 1972 at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Kaduna State.
Educational Pursuit
He had his primary education at Army Children School New Cantonment ‘A’ Kaduna where he obtained his First School Leavin Certificate in 182. He proceeded to Sardauna Memorial College Kaduna where he obtained his Senior School Certificate in 1993. He attended Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna between 1996 to 1999 where he obtained a National Diploma (ND) (Upper Credit) in the field of Textile Technology. Between 2000 to 2002, he was in Kaduna Polytechnic for a Higher National Diploma (HND) programme where he obtained a HND (Lower Credit) in the field of Textile Technology.
He was posted to Bauchi State during the 2003/2004 Batch ‘A’ NYSC for the mandatory National Youth Service where he served at the works department Ningi LGA Secretariat, Bauchi.
He attended Bayero University, Kano in 2005 where he obtained a post graduate Diploma (PGD) in public Policy and Administration between 2008 to 2010 he was in Bayero University, Kano where he obtained a Masters Degree (MPPA) in Public Policy and Administration. He also holds an associate membership (ANIPM) (unique) in 2009 from the Nigerian Institute of International affairs, Lagos.
Workshop attended: Interpersonal Skills Workshop at the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Kano in 2013 and International Conference on Revitalization of Textile Industry as a Catalyst for National Development at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2014
Working Experiences
D.A Haruna started working career in 1999 at Holborn Nigeria Limited (HNL) a textile manufacturing industry in Tudun Murtala in Kano as a weaving mechanic. He has also worked at Chellco Blankets in Kaduna Between 2002 to 2003 before his NYSC as a shift supervisor in the weaving department.
On completion of his NYSC he worked with Terytex Nigeria Limited (TNL) a textile manufacturing industry as a general supervisor in the weaving department between 2004 to 2006. He joined the services of National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala - Kano as a Higher Technical Officer (Laundry) on 1st December, 2006 and rose through the ranks to Principal Technical Officer (Laundry).
Marital Status
D.A. Hauna is happily married to Mrs. Fatima D.A. Haruna and the union is blessed with three kids which include:
· Fauziyya D.A Haruna
· Mohammad Auwal D.A Haruna
· Hassan D.A Haruna
Hobbies include reading magazine and political education.
About the Department: The Laundry and Tailoring Unit of National Orthopaedic Hospital Dala-Kano operates three shift (3) daily. The department is changed with the responsibility of collecting soiled linens from the wards, theatre unit and other source, process, disinfect and deliver promptly. We equally mend torn linens/staff uniform, produce theatre outfits and produce packing towels for Central Sterile and Supply Unit (C.S.S.U) and production of swabs for the theatre unit.
Man power position: The department has a total of sixteen staff i.e thirteen (13) in the laundry and three (3) in the tailoring unit.
Machineries: The department has state of the art equipment with incorporated frequency response devices for automation of processing sequence. We have the following machines in the department:
Ø Two manual washing machine
Ø Three Imesa automatic washing machine
Ø One Hydro – extractor machine
Ø Two automatic tumbler dryer machine
Ø One flat work ironer machine
Ø Four Butterfly sewing machine
Ø One Zig-zag machine
Ø One weaving machine for selvedge
