Medical Records

Health records department is centralized for all health care activities in the hospiotal re activities in the hospital. The only window and field for all patient’ clinical activities.
The department is portrayed as the only gateway and exit point for all patient and serves as as convenience for all clinical and non-clinical activities in every ramification.

Departmental Functions
According to the ethics of health record profession, some of the main functions of the department include,

1. General reception of all patients for registration and documentation in the units A/E, SOPD, NHIS, O&G, RADIOLOGY, (X-RAY) and maxillo facial unit (MFU)
2. Management of consultative clinical patients attendance in the A/E, SOPD, NHIS, O&G, RADIOLOGY, (X-RAY)and maxillo facial unit (MFU)
3. Compilation of clinical data on daily, monthly, quarterly, bi annually and annually basis and report to the management.
4. The department assist in clinical research education and training of medical student
5. The department ensures quality assurance of patient health records during admission and after discharge
6. The department is the general custodian and making health records available at all time on request
7. The department tries to prevent in due proliferations and porosity of patients health records
